Vāyu means air or “blower,” and is the air element. If you are familiar with the word Prana (life force), you can think of Vāyu as the one who breathes life, or prana, into living beings. Without Vāyu, a body becomes lifeless.

At this moment in time, we are constantly seeking acceptance and happiness from external sources. Social media pulls our attention in every direction. We have become a society of individuals, now hungry for connection and nourishment for the soul. It is time to return inward, to care for the inner Self.

That is my intention with creating this set of chimes. To help people reconnect with a part of themselves that may have become lost or neglected. Vāyu Chimes are a set of four chimes: a Sacred Feminine chime, a Sacred Masculine chime, and two Empowered cubit chimes. The energetics of the Sacred Feminine and Sacred Masculine cubits can help reconnect to these forgotten aspects of ourselves. And the Empowered chimes work synergistically to help draw out the potency of the Feminine and Masculine energetics.

How do you feel when listening to these chimes?

Personally, I like to give some verbal cues while playing the chimes for others, to help encourage listeners to envision their new realities as they reclaim their inner power again. 

Who Is Vāyu?

In the Upanishads, there are numerous mentions of the greatness of Vāyu. The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad says that the gods who control bodily functions once engaged in a contest to determine who among them is the greatest. When a deity such as that of vision would leave a man's body, that man would continue to live, albeit as a blind man and having regained the lost faculty once the errant deity returned to his post. One by one the deities all took their turns leaving the body, but the man continued to live on, though successively impaired in various ways. Finally, when Mukhya Prāna started to leave the body, all the other deities started to be inexorably pulled off their posts by force, 'just as a powerful horse yanks off pegs in the ground to which he is bound'. This caused the other deities to realize that they can function only when empowered by Vāyu, and can easily be overpowered by him.

This Vāyu is "Mukhya Prana Vāyu." The Chandogya Upanishad says that one cannot know Brahman except by knowing Vāyu as the mantric syllable oṃ.

MantraWorks Sacred Chimes

Our Sacred Chimes are a very unique concept. They are not designed with specific frequencies in mind, but rather, their unique energetics come from specific cubit lengths. If you are familiar with tensor ring technology, there are some cubit lengths that work for not only creating tensor rings, but also used as "straight-line" cubits. In other words, there are a handful of straight-line measurements that seem to be able to withhold or impart a greater energetic potency. Examples of these special measurements can be seen in some of humankind's longest standing structures, such as the Great Pyramid in Egypt and the Teotihuacán site in Mexico. Since the very precise measurements are the basis for creating these chimes rather than combining complementary frequencies, it is quite a pleasant surprise that many of these lengths actually sound great together. And when energizing these sacred lengths (by striking them and causing them to vibrate), we can activate their inherent properties and impart them to others as sound healing instruments.
