I use organic coconut oil and locally gathered beeswax to finish all of my handmade wooden boxes, so that each item is completely food safe (if you want to use as a food container). At any time, when you wish to restore the polish and protective finish on your piece, take a small amount of beeswax and buff it into the surface with a cloth or paper towel. Handwash with water and towel dry after washing.
