Auṃ | Mantra Oracle Art Print
Auṃ
Complete manifestation. From creation to sustenance to dissolution, and then to samadhi, Aum is represented in the layers and symbols in this print. A man, selected specifically due to the cosmic primal masculine energy present in Auṃ, is lifted and held in a complete surrender in the center of the card--a gigantic YES to the Universe. From his center ripples out first a spiral galaxy (cosmic), then water (elemental), then woven tree branches (manifest and end of cycle). Bursting from the core are four directions of light, once again representing the four states. The burst of movement and tremendous transcendent power along with deep surrender and stillness that is present in this card compels the viewer to a closer understanding of Isvara and the ability to dispel obstacles and come back into Oneness. Finally, the symbol for Auṃ is used at the bottom surrounded by beams of this radiating, penetrating vibration. A lot of vibration is channeled into this card, signifying the importance of sound in the mantra Auṃ.
(when you pronounce AUM--it begins in the very back of the throat, with an uhh sound. uhh…ooo…mmm. So it goes from the very back of the throat, through the middle and to the front, and closes with the mmm sound. This is also connected to the meaning of this mantra, as A-U-M goes from the beginning of creation, to the middle and to the end, or dissolution. So thinking this while chanting the sounds can be helpful--A…opening, expansion, creation. U…maintaining and renewing life/creation energy. M…contraction energy, or closing the cycle of life. And the silence afterwards represents the return to Oneness or samadhi or enlightenment.)
9"x12" print placed in a gold 12"x16" frame with a bevel-cut mat board.
Envisioned by Jason Adams, the Mantra Oracle collection is a collaboration of artist Lindsay Carron and Adams. As a mantra meditation teacher, Adams created a series of artwork prints to bring the energies of a number of Sanskrit mantras to life. By infusing each oracle card/artwork with the energies of each mantra, they have created an enlivened collection of divination cards and paintings. Each print is produced with the highest quality, to resemble the original artwork with spectacularly vivid clarity and color. Each print is produced with high quality archival inks on archival paper with a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-4100 Large Format Printer.
