Gayatri
oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ tat savitur vareṇyam bhargo devasya dhīmahi dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt

Gayatri is shown here in a powerful central stance, revealing the four vedas to mankind. She presides over spiritual knowledge, also known as Vedamata, the mother of vedas. Surrounding her are her four other principles, adding up to five total, shown as aspects of herself and representing the 5 elements: earth, fire, water, wind and akaasha. As Gayatri is also a representation of all goddesses, the 5 figures can also be understood to symbolize Lakshmi (power of manifestation), Saraswati (power of knowledge and speech), Durga (power of protection), Radha (power of ecstatic bliss), and Bhu Devi (power of the Earth). Surrounding Gayatri are the 7 spheres or lokas of light, two to her left, two to her right, and three above. Two swans flank the top lokas, giving a nod to Saraswati, who she is deeply connected to. The Gayatri mantra comes from the center, or essence, of Gayatri herself.

Envisioned by Jason Adams, the Mantra Oracle collection is a collaboration of artist Lindsay Carron and Adams. As a mantra meditation teacher, Adams created a series of artwork prints to bring the energies of a number of Sanskrit mantras to life.
